What's in a Book ?

"Hey, do you read books ?"

"Umm.. Yeah"

"I mean other than Textbooks ?"

"Yes, Yeah ! Do you too ? :D"

"Oh dude ! You are such a bookworm ! XD"

"Did you.. Did you just compare a textbook to a novel ?"

"Textbooks are also books right ..?"

"There is no comparison between a textbook and a novel, Caveman.

Imagine a scenario where you are reading an adventurous novel. The hero falls, you fall, the hero runs, your heart races, the hero is sad, your tears roll. You are with him/her every step of the story. You feel everything that the hero feels. You get to live in some other world just through an object that looks like a few papers woven together.

Many of my friends tell me, when they see the volume of a book they feel like waiting for a movie to be made on it so they could know what's inside that book. They say why waste 50 hours when you can watch it in 3 hours ? What they don't know is, some bookworm read it for 50 hours, played the whole thing in his mind and made a movie to show the world what the book looked like through his eyes. So, why not see how the book unwinds in your mind instead ? From the time you smell the book when you open it for the first time (yes I do that, yes I am gross, yes I don't care) to the time you imagine "The end" card playing in your mind while you close the book for the last time, you go through emotions unexplainable yet attainable. You feel like reading another book but the previous one keeps looping in your mind, so you just sit there playing it again and again, savouring every part, appreciating every character, relishing every scenario till you finally break up and move on hoping it will find someone who will love it as much. Why rob yourself off this joy ? Why not jump into this finite journey ?

It's a one time experience that lasts a lifetime. "

"whatever bro, whoever imagines everybody gets to watch, isn't that the whole point, the story is being told"

"Okay, that's one speech down the drain. Now scoot before I kill you with your own spear."

Ps: For anyone thinking not all movies are made out of books.

"Dear Noob, the writer pens his story on a paper. The producer reads it, picturizes it in his mind and finds a worthy director to portray it on the big screen."
