Spinach Rice

Ingredients:


1. 250 grams Rice

2. 200 grams spinach

3. 2 onions

4. Small piece of ginger

5. Garlic sauce or 4 cloves of garlic


Spices:


1. Salt

2. Pepper

3. Chili powder

4. Garam masala

5. Turmeric powder

6. Coriander powder(optional)

7. Cumin seeds(Jeera)

8. Mustard seeds(Rai)


Steps:


1. In a non-stick pan, pour some sunflower oil to heat up, once heated up put Cumin seeds & mustard seeds.

2. In a separate cooker, add rice and wash it twice, then add water to it in a 2-1 ratio and heat it in medium gas.

3. In a non-stick pan add onions and saute till they are golden brown.

4. Add spinach and 1 cup water to the mixture.

5. Add the spices according to your taste in the non-stick pan and let them simmer for 10 mins.

6. Add rice to the pan, fry it with the mixture for 5 mins while mixing well.

7. Serve it on a platter with some fried chilis to the side and enjoy!
