"I am Manav. And you are..?"
"I am Tara." I said smiling.
"That's a nice name. Where are you from?"
"I am from Kerala. Where are you from?"
"I haven't met many people from other states. I am from Jaipur."
"That's cool ! But did you really not meet anyone other than people from Jaipur?"
"Yea, It's just that I met other people but all from the same state. I just moved to the city a couple of days ago."
"How do you know Dia?"
"We work in the same office. Different departments. How is it in Hyderabad for you then? Been here long?"
"No..No! I moved here a couple of months ago. Me and Dia are from the same college. Placed in Hyderabad but different companies."
"Then did she show you around?"
"Not yet. I just got settled in. I have been trying to drag her and some of my colleagues out of their rooms for an outing and finally they all agreed, so.. I think we should get going Dia. They are all waiting."
"Yeah! I should leave too, me and my friends are planning to visit this fort. They are waiting over there. Hey, may be you both can join us sometime, what's say?"
"Yeah sure. Finally I meet someone who is a travel enthusiast like me. You know I just love exploring places."
"Yeah well, my whole gang is like me. So I will let you know next time we all plan something."
"Yeah, take my number. and sure let me know." And I gave him my number. The three of us walked along for sometime and then parted ways.
Did I just give some random guy my number? Well, he is from Dia's office and she knows him so that's fine. But I could have told him to let Dia know so we could both tag along next time. Did I come off needy?
"Let's go people. We are already late." said one of my friends bringing me out of my thoughts.
And at once, I forgot about everything.
