Oh.. Really?

And there he was..smiling his wide smile. Waving his hand wildly in the air as if I can't spot the only person coming down the street, pacing down the road faster than expected.

"hey Tara! Thanks for relieving me of boredom. So what do you want to do?"

"I was thinking of having dinner outside for today. Bored of my flat's cook's food. Blah!"

"Cool! which place is in your mind?"

"How about we go street. Let's have street food."

"Ahh.. Okay!"

"What? You don't want to?" I asked with a pout and big eyes no one could ever say no to.

"No.. I love street food. Where do you want to go?" Yay! I told ya.. Never fails!

" oh ! I know. Let's go for a milkshake followed by a chat marathon! I know a great place."

"I don't care for the chats and fast foods over here. They are not as great as my city's."

"Shut up."

And we walked down the lane to the place I suggested talking about how the week has been for both of us.

"I would like a kitkat shake."

"I want to try the snickers one. I will go order for both of us. You stay here. Its a bit crowded." he said and disappeared into the crowd. After ordering he came out smiling, looking at his phone.

"Whats so funny?"

"Oh! My friends clicked an image of both of us and wrote "gaddar spotted" under it. Look!"

It was an image taken when he was telling me he will go order the milkshakes. It was blurry but I got the gist.

"They must be here somewhere." And we started searching. I did too, even though I didn't know how they looked. Finally he spotted them on the other end of the shop. He waved as we walked towards them. They were all staring at us. Oh God! Are they pissed about something?

".....kya... ?" he said. And the dots are because I couldn't understand the language.

"....." said one of them. ".....?????" said another. They speak so fast.

"Okay guys. English. She can't understand anything." said Manav. Thank god someone noticed me at last.

"Hi! What's your name?" said one.

"I am Tara. How about you all?" I said with my best smile, trying to fit in.

After all the introductions, one of them smirked and asked me how me and Manav met. I told them and they all gasped.

"Oh! So you were the morning walk." said one guy.

"Did you know he ditched us to come and eat with you today?" said another.

"Oh really? But he said he was bored and was not doing anything. That's why I asked him if he wanted to tag along."

"Oh really???" They all stared at him with amusement in their eyes while he just stood there unmoved, smiling and may be thinking.

"Nehi.....blah..blah..blah!" I could not understand a thing. But this time I didn't mind. Apparently he is trying to convince them and I did not want to know.

"so.. Tara.. we were thinking of going somewhere nice for the weekend you want to join us?" said one girl. That was my cue. I was distracted till then in my own thoughts because come one let's face the truth, it's not like I understood anything by concentrating on the conversation.

"Huh? Me. Are you sure?" I asked them and then turned to him with a question mark on my face.

"Yes, we will have fun. Come on." said another.

He just smiled and shrugged. I guess that meant it's your choice. Also I scanned their excited faces and I really wanted to go.

"Yes. count me in." I said with a big smile.

"I think our order is ready. I will go get them." Manav said and left the table.

"Pull over two chairs to this table and sit with us." one guy said.

Never have I warmed up to people so easily. But these people almost have the same mindset as mine and they are so cool! I love them just after talking to them for like 15 min? That's new. As I saw them joking, laughing, passing comments most of which I couldn't understand, I felt like I wanted to be a part of this group. I wanted them to be as casual with me as they are with each other. I wanted them to be my friends too. As Manav talked to the person sitting next to him.. I slowly looked at him and stole a side glance. That was the first time I thanked god for bringing him into my life.
