Hello!!
What has this boring lady brought as a topic today?
yup..yup..yup.. By the title, you might have understood! It's about moving your body(Still don't get it? It's about.... Exercise!).
Today, One of my close friends asked me -> "You are in good shape! Why are you exercising?"
And the answer that came to my mind was the most common one.. "because exercise is not just for the good shape but also about maintaining our health!" (Although in complete transparency I have put on a lot of weight and I am trying to lose the extra mass :P).
But then I started thinking.. is that the only reason? If yes, I might not have been this consistent!
Then it occurred to me.. I also have so much fun doing this workout! I never watch the time or the length of the video or exercise when I am doing this.
And after a lot of research, I understood that yes, this is the correct way to train your body. Let's go to the bullet points now as they will be easier to read.
Loving the workout you do decreases the stress that is built up throughout the day.
Your body accepts this activity which in turn gives the desired results.
This slowly becomes a part of your life which will be beneficial in the longer run.
You always feel rejuvenated and active.
Need I go on.....?
So, whatever the exercise type is Zumba, Dance, Walk, Cardio, Weight Lifting, HIIT, Yoga, Pilates, Swimming, Sports, Running.... pick the exercise you enjoy the most! That way your consistency is maintained. Then you can start exploring other types. I am sure you will :).
Always remember, Exercise is a way of life. It is not only about getting in shape (of course we all know that is what we strive for! Come on who are we kidding? :P) but also about health and about enjoying it!! So even if a satisfactory weight and shape is attained keep going..!
PS: My favorite workout routine is dance.. not that anybody asked ;)
