So the first day was fun. We went trekking, sight seeing and had authentic food. As the day grew darker we had a great campfire built and danced and sang around it. We were so tired by the next day that we almost missed our sunrise plan. In the cold foggy weather, we all took our rented bikes and made our way to the highest mountain in the state. As me and Manav crossed the tall trees and the great flora we were mesmerized by the beauty and soaked it all in. Finally after reaching the top of the mountain, we all saw a narrow path that leads to the top of another hill on the mountain. We immediately started climbing it. It was hard to see where the hill ended and so we kept a safe distance from what seemed like the end.
For a brief amount of time, I lost Manav to the fog. For a second, I considered the chance of him falling down the hill. I brushed aside the silly fears and started shouting
"Manav! Manav! This is not a good place and time to play hide and seek. Where the hell are you?"
I looked at my phone but there was no reception. I searched for the other people. There was no body around. How is that possible? Did I miss them telling me that they were getting down? Finally I started taking steps towards what I though was the entry we came from. As I moved a little the part I just left was covered by fog. I decided not to move for a little while and let the fog clear. Then, suddenly I saw something move. I hoped desperately that it was not animals for their morning breakfast. I decided to make a run for it. Then I saw something move behind me and suddenly all of his friends rounded me and a little ahead in the fog I saw Manav on his knees holding what seemed like a ring. Okay! I was right before I should have made a run for it.
"Tara! Will you be my girlfriend?" asked Manav with twinkling eyes and his wide smile. I didn't think for another second. I knew what I wanted to say.
"Yes" I said and I extended my hand forward. We had the moment saved thanks to his friend for taking a video. After that we saw the most beautiful sunrise and came back home. After few days we both shared things from our past that affected us the most and he nodded reassuringly and said
"I don't care what happened to you in the past. Let's start new. Let's just make the future about us."
And I knew.. this time it was not a mistake.

"Did you finish writing Tara?" asked Manav.
"Yeah. Do you want something?" I asked.
"No! I finished making dinner. I am hungry. Please!"
"Yes..Yes! What did you make?"
"A chef never tells. It's up to you to guess it. If you guess it right then I will start bragging."
"Drama queen."
"What were you writing? By the way."
"Oh! You remember how you always asked me to write our story so that you remember every piece of it."
"Yes! Oh.. and it just took you 1 year to fulfill my wish."
"I can erase it all Manav! Thread lightly."
"But, the important point is you finally did it. I am proud of you. So, What's the story called?"
"I was thinking ...Rewind."
