"Are you still packing?" Tara asked rolling her eyes.
"Come on.. you can see I already packed. I am just nervous" said Manav.
"Oh! Honey, you will be fine. You are such an amazing coder. The camp will take you without hesitation."
Tara knew her encouragement didn't help. But again, when has any kind of good words helped anybody who is nervous.
Tara and Manav are going strong in their 2 year relationship. It wasn't exactly about no fights or always having a spark. It was about being there for each other, expressing feelings instead of hiding them and being truthful even when it hurts. They are also moving there respective careers along. A few months back, Manav had the idea of going to the most reputed coding camp in all of India with an acceptance rate of 1%. He was on the brim of exploring new opportunities and the camp was an excellent opportunity to showcase his skills on a new level. Tara was reluctant, she wanted to switch her field of work completely but Manav insisted on some of the marketing courses that the camp was offering and she couldn't resist. They gave in an online interview and were both selected for the next round.
"How elite is this camp for them to have 2 rounds of interviews?" said Tara.
"Very. It is run by one of the biggest researcher of our time in computer science." said Manav his eyes shining.
"Still, seems like a lot of work to go to the place. What if we get rejected?"
"We won't. Even if we do they are paying for our return tickets. So, we are just paying for half the journey. Worth a try."
"I guess. This camp better be good!! Also, when did camps in India start paying people for their journeys. That's suspicious even for a positive person like me."
"Haha! Good one! Positive person and you! You always jump to the worst scenario when something happens."
"Excuse me! It is called being prepared."
"Okay pretty lady! Whatever you call it. Now, let's go and watch that scary movie you wanted to see for so long while eating the food I have craved for so long!"
